I hate Walmart only because I wasn't smart enough to buy stock in the begining. if I had.. I'd be laughing all the way to the bank

I hate Walmart because they don't always have the gallon jugs of Mobil 1 in the right viscosity.

I am fairly indifferent about WalMart. Have shopped there twice and purchased anything there, only once. (I was traveling on business in the sticks and got thirsty).
If the media stories are to be believed (hmmmm), WalMart is a thinly disguised domestic sales agent for Chinese manufacturers. Obviously a massive trade imbalance combined with potentially compromised quality of goods is hard to argue as a benefit to American society. It is however a complex equation -- clearly they employ a gazillion people. But it would be interesting to see hard figures on how much WalMart actually contributes to the GDP or tax revenues vs how much goes into corporate coffers or offshore.
