Dave <sigh> O'Reilly is OBVIOUSLY about commentary.

Donahue OBVIOUSLY masquerades his opinions/commentary as "thoughtful" questions.

Do you disagree?

Yes, I disagree. I think they both will masquerade their opinions/commentary as 'thoughtful' questions.

I think O'Reilly and Donahue are the same, only from opposite poles, and O'Reilly likes to bully when he's losing because he's generally not as clever.

That, I agree with.

Have you considered that O'Reilly uses volume, the same way Donahue uses soft-spoken words? (as he softly continues to talk right over people)

....is it because Donahue is not generally not as clever?

Rather than responding to points raised, Donahue continues to pepper the same emotional rhetoric of "you want people to DIE".

....is it because Donahue is not generally not as clever?

Point is, they each have put too much weight on each of their pet methods. Interestingly, the Lib's just see O'Reillys weakness, and the Con's just see Donahues weak rebutt.

I agree that they are basically one and the same, both carnival barkers/entertainers. BO is the only one who sort of masquerades as a journalist, albeit an editorialist. He is a bully, and it seemed that Donohue knows him from way back by the way they were addressing one another. ("Billy", etc..)

BO must have gotten his nephew to enlist as a pencil pusher or something just so he could pull that out of his ass when people (correctly) point out that most neocons do not have any personal stake in the body count. Cindy Sheehan did, regardless of what slander you put on her.

I have told the story here before of my aquaintence who works at Faux News who told me that Sean Hannity is a nice guy in reality and BO is an absolute POS. Not surprising.

Google "Paris Business Review" and you'll get a taste of what a liar O'Reilly is. His lies are often not even scripted, he just makes them up off the top of his head - a real professional... liar.

Donahue is out of his mind Shaun...He was defending that Glick dude, I mean full bore defense saying Bill should apologize to him...the same Glick who accused Bush of orchestrating 9-11.

"There is no democracy without descent" -- The battle cry of the most subversive, anti-American and quite often neo-communist front groups in America.

Speeder; How 'bout we stop this madness of firefighters going in to burning buildings? . . .or do you want more of our good fire-fighting men and women to DIE? . .. and for what; a building? (that , in a nutshell was Phil's argument)

Mulhollanddose 09-22-2005 08:33 AM

Not to mention that that anti-war protest Donahue is promoting is a communist front group that believes Stalinism and Maoism are the way to go, and believe the Joooooooos are the problem anywhere they are not communist (particularly Israel).

island911 09-22-2005 08:41 AM

(TIC) Speeder, you are not a good person, because you dont have any fire-fighting children . . .you just want other peoples children to fight fires. . .. I bet you own Halliburton smoke-detector stock too. You know it doubled in price.

(but I say that all in a soft tone, so that you know I'm not insidious, like that mean Bill O'Reilly. )

This interview (debate, whatever) is despicable.

It is a prime example of how the media is in the control of radicals from both the right and the left.

Otherwise I agree with most people's assessment of their debating styles. HOWEVER....they didn't stick to the topic which was Cindy Sheehan. Good chance the whole thing was scripted.

skipdup 09-22-2005 09:39 AM

Cindy & Phil should marry. What a bunch of loons.

and apparently people with far too obscue and vague pun references.

and hey, neo-communists are the Right's bed buddies. Without them, you couldn't afford iraq, or is that Katrina, or tax cuts for the wealthy... take your pick. All three and the biggest government ever... sure.

Exactly, very well put. Leftist dorks use this crap purely to evoke emotion where they are unable to stir intellect.

Island, we're coming over to set your house on fire. Someone told us, don't remember who, not really important, that you've been mixing paper and plastic in your recycling. We've told you many times not to mix paper and plastic. You've told us you don't, but someone told us you did.

Years ago we told you that you could mix paper and plastic, and you did, but you can't now and even though you say you aren't, we're just assuming that whoever told us that you are is correct. We even have concrete evidence of one recycling container that can be used for paper or plastic.

We'll be over to set your house on fire tomorrow. See you then! SmileWavy

90% of those programs wouldn't exist if the Republicans had their way...and you know it...you libs created the bloated bureaucracy and ***** and moan every time we try to cut it...I am sure Bush's spending pales in comparison to what the left would have done...Bush just thought it foolish to slash at the military and he also inherited massive national security failures and 9-11...things changed buddy boy...all your political party's pettiness aside.

Shaun @ Tru6 09-22-2005 10:25 AM

Zoink is right!
