Yes, I have burned many, many hours with google earth.

It's quite fun to play "find the racetrack"

"Sat View of your Houre or shop"

I don't think so. Any 'houre' I'd be likely to prefer would be smaller than a building.

Sorry Tech, I'm still taking pain pills, so I'm making less sense than normal

Byron: do a search on this: some guy recently found an ancient Roman ruin using Google Earth!

I dunno if I’m the only one but I can get Massachusetts to zoom in and be nice an clear but as soon as I get to the Connecticut border it becomes this big green blurry mess and you can't see any definition to the buildings anymore. Anyone know what’s up with that?

The database is a composite of a number of sat images. Some more recent than others. Look at the whole country, you can see the variations in the level of detail.

Here's some fun. Search on 3100 Jefferson Davis Hiughway, Arlington VA. Scroll south one block (Google earth has a bit wrong). Look for the trailers and the water treatment plant. On the corner are Mini Coopers. The rest of them are Porsches. Cool!

d'ya notice that these images are more than one year old? I assume that they are doing this to keep people from keeping tabs on others' activities had they been using up-to-date images
