victory is mine (Apple things, Quad Core question, even Porsche content)
Monday I got the click of death on the 'ol Powerbook G4, so I ordered an 80 gig hdd to throw in there. I just finished the reinstall and Tiger is installing. I'm so psyched! I decided on a naming scheme for my computers also. The Powerbook will be called Saratoga, Dual G4 will be called Carrera, and the new machne will be called Cabrio. I had characters from LoTR as my computer names before, but that got lame when everyone watched the movies & it got ruined.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, earlier today my boss and I finished this huge project (with 15 minutes to spare before FedEx closed ![]() Do I want one of the new Dual G5 or Quad G5 Power Macs for my replacement desktop. Anyone have thoughts on this? My first thought is to jump for the Quad Core, just because it's newer/bigger/better/faster. I will be doing a ton more video production stuff, so maybe it will be worth it. I need to read some reviews and gather info first, though. After that, I get to research DV cameras!

The limited initial tests I've read about favor the quad core.
