hmm...maybe I won't ship to work next time

This package got an interesting reception at work when UPS dropped it off today. I thought they'd ship it in another box...

Wonder if they still want to reorg me out?

order something harmless that comes in a long slender box. like that mail order broom that crazy australian is always selling on infomercials. when you get the box, giggle like a schoolgirl and run into your office and slam the door. i bet everyone takes a long lunch that day.

It would have been illegal to ship it in any other box.

The funny part is... that they would ship it to you at work, and that work didn't ask questions....

Our financial person who delivered the box to my office just kept saying, "I don't want to know...I don't want to know..."

I'm still laughing...

I would end up with walking papers if I had that sent to work.

Well what are you supposed to do? Have UPS leave a box of ammo sitting on your front porch?

It's for safety. Keep the guns at home and the ammo at work.

That really should be a case of .45 ACP though

I'm working on that, but can't find a CPO p220 yet. Might go with a private party used...

And the next case will be JHP.

One's not enough huh? Nice choice. I prefer 1911's but will have to rent a P220 next time so I can shoot them side by side.

Don't you have to wait 30 days to buy another one...

Now ask your boss if you can get a floor-standing safe in your office...for your "records."

LOL, I did it once too...but it wasn't a full case so was inside a plain box with the blue "ORD-M" sticker and a regular UPS airbill. Not NEARLY as conspicuous.

Someone sent me a failed bearing from a rendering plant once. I was away so I don't get it for over a week. The bearing was 1500mm with the housing. The darn thing weighed over 40lbs.

The mail guy put it outside my office. Because it was so heavy, no one bothered to move it but it proceeded to stink up the whole floor with an odor that can only be discribed as a 10 day old dead raccoon that was smeared in wet dog food and marinated in chicken feces. No one knew it was coming from the box until I got in the next week.
