Amherst Regional High School will stop using the term "freshman" to refer to ninth-grade students because the term is not inclusive enough for some members of the faculty there, according to the Concord Monitor.

Students in ninth grade will now be referred to as ... wait for it ..."ninth-graders" in all official documents and morning announcements.

ARHS Assistant Principal Marta Guevara, who pushed for the change, said the decision to move away from "freshman" came about after a production of the The Vagina Monologues two years ago.

Guevara said the school wants to make students "aware of the possible misogynistic, oppressive or non-inclusive language."

I hate PC garbage. Every paper I write for school sucks me deeper and deeper into their abyss. I don't even have to roll my eyes anymore when I parrot crap out of the book and rephrase my thoughts to match their leftie professorspeak.

Women should stay the he11 out of the workplace and let men make the money. After a woman gets married (because women use college and/or work to find a husband), she should quit, stay home and take care of domestics.

A google search of the Communist Party's website shows 1x misogynistic, 0x non-inclusive, and (not surprisingly) about a billion times oppressive (actually 60x).

On NPR the other day (you know, that hotbed of Liberal sentiment) the president of CSUS Stanislaus was on, discussing the flak he took recently for statements he'd made that political correctness was ruining education. Maybe there's hope for us liberals after all...

I also really enjoyed the spectacle when one of our learned Democratic California Legislators (who shall remain nameless to protect the vapid) raked someone over the coals for using the term "let's call a spade a spade." Racist! Racist!

Haven't figured it out yet? This school is everywhere in the USA...thanks to the largest spending union political lobby in the country...the NEA...the National Education (Extortion) Association...
It's for good reason that more & more parents opt for home schooling or private schools. Sooner or later, the Government schools will self destruct....
