He's still not "hard left" though (or fascist ). Its not my fault you guys have no idea what "left" is

Now Mul. Seriously, you are the source of time suckage for me. You are also deliberately misleading by taking what Dean said out of context. The full context is available here:

http://www.drudgereport.com/dean1.htm

In context, Dean is saying he would break up "giant media enterprises", of which one is Fox. This is the relevant statement:

Quote:
"11 companies in this country control 90 percent of what ordinary people are able to read and watch on their television. That`s wrong. We need to have a wide variety of opinions in every community."
He appears to believe that size, power and access to capital should not be the deciding factors of public opinion. I find it extremely ironic that you believe the liberal media (which is most likely 10 out of the 11 companies referred to) is twisting public opinion (essentially agreeing with Dean), but you crucify his method of dealing for the sole purpose of disingenuously making it appear he was solely attacking Fox.

Ok, I give up. What is "left"? This is about the 3rd or 4th time I've seen someone on this board say "you just don't know what left is" in response to a post. Please define it so we can all talk about the same thing.

What is "left"?

I'll let others answer for the world at large, but here its any position that disagrees in any way with anything our president has ever done.

I'm serious.

that is such crap. Dean embraced the blogosphere, which is all about dissenting and individual viewpoints. And also all about *dialogue*, not just one-way spew.

Chris Matthews: "Would you break up Fox?"

Howard Dean: "On ideological grounds, absolutely yes..."
