http://www.roadfly.org/bmw/gallery/p...18-2589979.jpg And what is this? Some sort of Caddy show car I presume. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1132530399.jpg |

That looks like a late '30's Peugeot 402 roadster. There was a very similar silver blue one at Pebble last year. (Any Le Mans history with that yellow one?) Tim |
The red one is a TBird prototype/show car. THe other one is a Darlmat (spelling) Peugeot (I think!)

yep! 1938 Peugeot 402 Darl`Mat roadster was one of 12 built to commemorate Peugeot`s successful run in the 1938 24 hours of Le Mans.

So that's a Caddy El Camino coupe by Pinifarina
|
I'm going to say it's another version of the Cadillac Cyclone prototype. Circa 1958.

Not a Ranchero, either...
Not a Cadillac, El Camino or otherwise.
Another angle: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1132629985.jpg Tim |
It's a Thunderbird concept car of some sort, you can almost make out the emblem on the back. It's not whacky enough to be a Bertone, but it's definately italian.
|
By the grill I was thinking Desoto, but couldn't find it. I've been a car nut all my life. You guys make me look like a novice at best. I have no idea what some of these are.

Its a 1954 DeSoto Ghia Adventurer II. One of the Motorama cars after Virgil Exner arrived at Chrysler. Longtime ownership by the Sultan of Morocco before returning to the US. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1132672998.jpg Trunk detail could be mistaken from a distance as either a TBird or Cadillac chevron, but is actually a stylized "V8": http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1132673085.jpg My favorite was the Nardi wheel with Hernando in the center. Turin meets Detroit, or Madrid, at least... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1132673789.jpg Next photo's yours, Bob. Tim |
beautiful, I thought TBird due to the rear lights. Got me on that one...
|
How did you find it? I googled Ghia, concept, Chrysler yada and couldn't find squat. Let's do cars that made it into production. These one or two off's are tough on an old guy.

this is a De Soto Adv II 1953

A really easy one...

Red one is a late 50's Alfa? Giulia?
If not, some other Pinin design.... |
