It's hard to even find a decent picture of a Cox GTM on the web.

How about this then...

It's not a Singer either.
Here are some more pictures -

dagriff - I'm looking into that one. My first though was along Davrian lines, but we'll see...

Not a Singer, H.R.G. perhaps?

Davrian is VERY close!

Clan Crusader is correct.

Bonus points for knowing what was "unusual" about it's (for want of a better word) chassis.

Yes, Fiberglass, no metal at all except for the front and rear sub-frames.
Paul Haussauer the ex-Lotus designer who was the brains behind it, was very close to making a carbon fiber race version, but did not have the $s.

BTW, it had a Hillman Imp engine & running gear.

Tim is right again.
It's another stunning car - I want one.
Do you have:
A) A stunning knowledge of cars
B) A very efficient system of reasearch
or
C) Some trick that your not going to let on about

I'm interested to know whether you're some car genius...

The Clan Crusader was close to a Davrian. I remember pouring over Kit Car magazines back when I was growing up and know I recognized it as a Kit, just couldn't place it.
Who's next?

Actually the Clan was a production car, you could buy one fully assembled from the factory.

They was the option of buying one in several pieces and assembling them yourself. This got around the 25% tax.
When the tax system changed they were all factory built.
They were also successfully crash tested at M.I.R.A.

Correct! Two 1930 Ruxtons. And extra points awarded for the Woodlites. Very stylish at the time, but couldn't provide illumination worth a crap. However, they weren't retractable, they just sat on the headlight bar and looked good.

The first retractable lights were here, in 1936...
but everyone knows this one.

A bit stuck on this one.
It's fairly ugly, my first thought was that I don't want to know what it is. But then I thought it would be best to know so I don't ever buy one by accident.

Is it Eastern European?
