it is funny, but the shape of the rear deck makes me tink of Maserati. How about a little hint?

Well he's got me completely stumped. This is what I can get from the picture:

- RHD and not Japanese. This means likely British, possibly Australian.
- Very compact. Note that the rear edge of the door appears to form part of the rear wheel opening.
- Fiberglass bodywork. Note the absence of sharp corners or creases, the odd shapes in back of the fenders, and the absence of shut-lines or seams.
- A production car, given the presence of badging on the tail and fender, and the well integrated back-up light and plate lights.
- The wheels, tires, and hubcaps appear to be non-original.
- It appears to date from around 1970.
- It's parked next to a US-market Buick.

????

Come on Tim, throw us a bone...

tchanson 02-22-2007 05:43 AM

Not Spanish.
Not Australian, but right hemisphere...
RHD.
Fiberglass.
Was a production model, albeit in relatively small numbers.
From a country not typically associated with with car makers.

Some kind of Morgan?

SCWDP911 02-22-2007 08:26 AM

Tim,

I am frustrated a bit, because I think I found part of the answer, but for the life of me and all that is found on the internet, I cannot pinpoint the details. Is your car the one that was designed and built by a college professor in Thailand in 1972-1973?

Looks a bit like a Sabra. There were made in Israel.. warm?

SCWDP911 02-22-2007 09:51 AM

I too looked at the Sabra, but I do not think that is it. Front ends are all wrong.

You are correct, Ed.
