I am surprised that they kept the hood with the fresh air inlet, given the other aero treatments. All in all, I think it maintains the basic 911 look in the same way that the 935's and slant nose cars do.
I am in the "like-it" camp on this one.

I like it. After all it is a race car so as long as it works on the track.

Form follows function, and function dictates beauty. I like it.
If it was done for cosmetics I would hate it, but because it actually works it is beautiful in my eyes. And I don't think anyone here wonders why 914 owners thing we are *******s, most of us don't really care what others think until they come on our board and offer insults. You called someone's 911 race car ugly, one person came back with a comment on the cosmetic appearance of your car in comparison. Kind of a pot-calling-the-kettle-black thing. That makes all 911 owners *******s? maybe on a different board it does, but that doesn't fly here. Last edited by sammyg2; 11-08-2005 at 07:43 AM.. |

Carolina Panther Cheerleader one's?
I like the car, and the color is a Porsche race color, gulf blue with appropriate orange trim. It works, thanks to the early 70's.

Yeah, whoever wrote the law that those two broke was thinking WAY to hard about the wrong things in life.

Let me see if I got this right...
I find a picture of a unique bodywork on a 911 and I think it is ugly. I post it on the 911 board because I think others might want to see it and I say I think it is ugly. Some of you agree with me, some of you don't. Than one guy calls MY car ugly and others start making 914 wisecracks. I get pissed at the the guy making cracks about my car and I fire back. Than it goes down hill from there. Look, I don't think the owner of that car is a member here so it is not as if I was saying to the Owner of the car, that his car was ugly. I was saying the design of the BODYWORK was ugly. I shouldn't have called you an a-hole. But why was a thread about 911's moved to OT?

Maybe because it isn't really a tech discussion and it was posted in the tech section.
Personally I like the car. I actually think it looks cleaner than the factory 935's it's modeled after. I wonder what size tires are stuffed under those monster flares. |
