Alright, let's see 'em.
Let's see some pics of large game bagged this season...
I took this little guy about two hours east of Great Falls in the Little Belt mountains. Two hundred yard shot, from a standing position and he was moving up a coolee. It was a clean kill as he fell instantly. Used my Remmington 700LH .270 w/ Leupold 4-9X40 VX I. This has been a great season as me and my two buddies have all filled our A tags in less than two weeks. The freezer is getting full! ![]()

Too big to fail

I'd share, but the last time I posted a pick of a nice rack and the story behind it, I almost got banned...
(BTW - did you install the heater tube yet?)

Excellent! My son is going deer hunting with his grandfather the day after Thanksgiving. It will be my son's first deer hunt and I sure hope he gets one! Great picture! Congratulations!!

Heck of a buck. Well done.
The heart and liver are very tasty when fried up with onions and peppers!

Thanks for the compliments, fellas.
Noah, yes, I've gone for the Grizzly Adam's look lately. But, you know I'm an "Undercova Brutha." Mike, we bagged the liver (buddy swears he has a good recipe) but the heart was split in half by the .270 Hornet swift. Thom, I need to PM you regarding the heater tube.

Good shot and nice rack. Going to have it mounted? Boy I miss Montana but AZ sure is nice as well!

Way to go Lee. Nice mulie. Western whitetail was the game back in my hunting days, so racks not as big. Points count, my biggest was 5 ...on one side, 4 on the other. Alas, I haven't hunted since 1988. Just haven't had the desire to do so since my hunting buddy died in an industrial accident. Still have my rifles, go to the range every once in a while to punch holes in paper, but that's about it...a bit surprised your Remington is a .270. I'd have suspected a magnum for the longer range shooting of Montana.

Lee, thanks for the backup...some time ago, a guy posted here, asking about a good first deer rifle for his son. I suggested a good bolt action, maybe Ruger, in .270 Winchester caliber, topped with a Leupold scope. Others claimed the caliber was too lightweight...

My Porsche type "911" killed a deer yesterday. I left her to the vultures though. As for the 911, it had a good speed of about 88 Feet Per Second even though it did suffer some damage.
