This is the funniest thing Ive read here in a long time

I had a Bunn just like the one pictured above. I didnt like the idea of leaving it plugged in all the time and I wound up breaking it in short order turning it on and off whenever I was away from the house for longer than a day at a time. I also remember that it didnt do so well if I only made half a pot off coffee. The calcium deposits are easy enough to clean with the tool they supply.

The crud in the machine is why I only use PUR filtered water in my machine..

The water in LV has so much cr@p in it anybody can play Christ and walk on water...

From the time I put the ground Coffee in the Portafilter to the time I steam the Milk and make a double shot of Espresso...for a Cafe Latte it is about 1 minute.... I can do the Cafe Americano by adding some hot water to a Shot of Espresso...Unless I am serving a ***** load of people I will NEVER go back to any kind of potted coffee...

Best cup of joe I had lately? Out of an old enamelware percolator pot bought decades ago for camping trips. This, after awakening to a power outage, so I built a fire in our backup woodstove for house heat, then opened a can of years old "Western Family" brand pre ground, loaded up the pot, placed it on the propane BBQ burner. Man, it was GREAT! Nothing like ANY cup of hot coffee when you really want a cup of hot coffee.

An update here. Just read in the local evening paper that the power outage was caused by some idiot trying to steal power wire for it's scrap metal value. Seems he gave himself a free seat atop "old sparky". Yup, he died. Any odds on whether or not he was a tweaker, a meth head?
