I use to bowl with an older gentleman named Harry Kok, and yes he pronounced it cock. He thought it was funny......oh yea his brother Dick subbed every now and then

How about Dick Weed? That's a real name. In my Dad's generation, Dick was a very common name. It did not have the slang impact as it does today, and there were lots of funny combos.
In England, where they call their dicks "willies", Dick is still common. It is extremely rare to find a person younger than 50 in the U.S. named Dick. When they played the trailer for "Free Willy" in the UK, people were having seizures laughing in the theatres. Over here, nothing. I live in Koreatown in L.A., every other business sign is "Suk dong", etc...
