Hummers everywhere!
My neighbor just brought home a Hummer. Family up the street has a Hummer. Family down the street has a Hummer. With gas prices lower than before and GM having their red tag sale, now I'm surrounded by them. It wouldn't be so bad but they're all yellow! Gotta admit though, I kinda like 'em.
They are GM, right? |

Yes, GM.
But, you don't want an H2 or H3- those are such a poseur's vehicle, and as a utility vehicle they're no different than a surburban. rjp

My wife likes the H2 and H3 and she has the confident but fun personality to pull it off. No ego trips - just likes to stand out in a crowd.

Yes, those are GM. Basically a Suburban w/ a clown body on it if it's an H2 or H3.
Those people are fools IMO, As one oil industry expert recently said on the subject of $3 a gallon gas, "you ain't seen nothing yet"....... ![]()

My neighbour sold his H3 after only 2 years. He had enough of all those peoples laughing at him.

The original Humvee derived Hummer is pretty cool. A buddy has one, and other than my old FJ40, I can't think of a better off road rig. They are kind of wide for our tighter trails through the woods, and my LC can squeeze through where it can't, but other than that, I love 'em.
Now the H2 and H3 are another story. Total soccer mom latte getter. I couldn't imagine throwing my muddy, wet dog and a bunch of dead ducks and wet dekes in the back of one, much less a dead deer bleeding all over the roof and down the yellow paint.

I heard they are for guys that have little peepees.
![]() I can't stand H2 H3 or whatever they are calling them now. We service the plant that makes them in Indiana.

Pure decadence. And folks dropping $80+ large on a new Porsche is what...? Or how about Motion and his new Ferrari. I don't recall anyone jumping on him for dropping major coin on that instead of something a bit more PC.

People don't buy Hummers for off-roading. They're just for looking good and feeling secure on the road. If you keep that in mind, Hummers aren't so bad. By the way, all three of them within 4 blocks of me are H2s. And one has chrome bling wheels and low profile tires.

Problem is, they may be pretty, but they're so useless.
That's the issue, it's all needless decor.

Everytime I am alongside one of them while on one of my bikes on the freeways of SoCal and they glance over at me, I always pat my 5 gallon fuel tank.
They usually smile back. Or change lanes on top of me.

If gas does go back up, perhaps GM will reconsider introducing a H4 to replace the Tracker.
My sketch, in case you missed it the first time. ![]() ![]() Might want to try this site in a few months: http://www.hummer-h4.info/ Try this one now (or Autoweek): http://www.gmhummer.com/timeline/h4/main.htm ![]()
