Very, VERY nice!
Love the modern updated Torque Thrust wheels. Just one question....did you mean a 351W engine? Cheers

That thing is pretty tight. I helped a guy with one and it was a lot of work. I don't remember where he got the kit but the body was all fiberglass and a bear to get right. He went with a 427 Big Block. Doing it in the heat of AZ didn't help. Looks like yours came out great!!

Nice!, Whatever happened to the Cleveland engine(351C)? Last time I fooled around w/ Fords that was the more desireable motor

The Cleveland was a better motor in stock form. However it was taller, heavier and has less of an aftermarket following. Today with aftermarket heads and such the Windsors are more popularand make great power.
There is alot to be said for spending $3,000.00 on a motor and having 400 hp and 400 ft lbs. Unlike my 911 spending twice that much for half the power. They are both great motors just different. |

sweet ride--tell us more about the driving experience. I can't imagine V8 400hp in a 2100 lb car like that.

Well, its completely different from anything I have ever driven. It is very well balanced with a weight distribution of F49/R51 . On paper it is faster than almost anything, however being able to drive it that well is sure to be a challenge . It seems that tire spin is almost unavoidable. If anyone is interested in checking them out look on FFCOBRA.com of FactoryFive.com .

Whats the plan for it? Street cruiser/ Thurs. night car show car or Autocross / Track car?
Great cars and VERY fast on road courses and Autocrosses. I duke it out with one of them at the local Autocross. That same guy set a fendered car record with is at the Bay Bottom Crawl. He was nipping at the heals of the Formula Fords. Good luck with it, its a beauty!

If you are concerned about HP and weight..try Dove Engineering for a motor.
They have (or used to) a big block 427 based engine with side oiler config and several types of heads (high rise, low rise and tunnel port). And....the BIG thing....all aluminum. Speed cost money..... Bob

Looks slow. You may want to paint flames on the side.

Were you happy with the quality of the kit, specifically the glass (porosity, thin spots, etc..). I have a buddy that has been ready to pull the trigger on a FF for years but those are the main concerns. He doesn't want to need $10k in bodywork/paint to be right./
