Gruppe B?

I have seen this signature with some folks out there, and even went to the web site, but I'm not sure what Gruppe B is all about. Anyone out there know?

Dan are you there? And thanks!

Just more Porsche silliness, mostly in the mid-west with a few westerners and NoVA participants with bastardized Porsches. HeHe.

^^^^what Grady said^^^^

Make sure you visit the forums...specifically "The Courtyard". Living in Chicago, I've met a lot of these guys. A lot of good people there. Between all of us, there aren't too many problems we can figure out. A lot of emphasis is on avoiding the "Porsche tax" (overpaying because it's a Porsche).

Neal,

Gruppe B is a collection of people who tend to mod their cars without total regard to originality (factory correct). Not a lot of concourse guys here. People like me with a 71 front end and a 76 back end find comfort here...

They're a bunch of poseurs, especially that Jim Richards character. Word has it he drives a pink car.

We also let in hosers like Pari, but usually charge them a lot of money to join. No one let's them know it's actually free.

Gruppe B is the antithesis of the men in plaid. Do what you like, it's your car, damnit! That's what it is.

Yeah, my car is pink.

What is GruppeB? Whoa boy….. If you refuse to take out the gas tank when you weld in your front pan, if you make your own steel track wheels, if you take an early car and make it into an RSR slantnose, if you own a Targa and admit it openly, If you paint your car in the garage with no fear of plastic shrink wrap implosion, if you have ever been to a Bonfire of Doom!!!, if you think flat black is a perfectly acceptable color for a Porsche, if you wake up in your car with a giant pink cat head, these are just some indicators that you may be GruppeB material…..

Dean Vernon Wormer: Greg, what is the worst Porsche Group on the internet?

Greg Marmalard: Well that would be hard to say, sir. They're each outstanding in their own way.

Dean Vernon Wormer: Cut the horse****, son. I've got their disciplinary files right here. Who parked a Black Audi at R Gruppe's wankfest? Who delivered the medical school cadavers to the PCA dinner? Every DE, the trees are filled with underwear. Every spring, engines explode.

Greg Marmalard: You're talking about Gruppe B, sir.

Dean Vernon Wormer: Of course I'm talking about Gruppe B, you TWERP!

Gruppe B is like making nitroglycerine in your basement, it's volatile, unstable, and dangerous!
Actually it's just a bunch of guys who like to have lots of fun, drink Guinness and not take ourselves to seriously, well, except for Jim who drives the pink car, he get's kind of defensive once in a while!

If you have no fear of knocking down penguins in the crosswalk like you're bowling a strike, then Gruppe B's for you.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our 911's- we did.

But you can't hold a whole Gruppe responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole Internet BBS system? And if the whole Internet BBS system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our car culture in general? I put it to you- isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

You're either with us or against us. Having a Willys is a plus!
