I just threw-up in my mouth a little..rant

I'm doing some absolute bu11**** paperwork for a customer. (changing a part number) which requires a couple hours of my time changing and filling out useless fukcing forms (that no one ever looks at except to change or replace when this crap happens of course). Anyway, I glance down at a print and see that it is stamped with the word "CONCEPT", except that the "O" is stamped over with a bold "A". Get it? CAN...CEPT????

Sweet **** if I ever get ahold of the people that come up with this crap, I swear I'll take a synergistic approach to smashing his fukcing melon.

Scary part is whoever came up with that probably got a pat on the back from his/her MBA buddies and a 20,000-a-year raise and a corner office with a high-backed leather chair and two fake potted plants.

Sheesh--obviously, you haven't stepped up to the plate and thought outside of the box. You need to micro-manage your skill sets to bring the proper pro-active solution to this task. Please report to the HR manager for an encouragement meet.

You mean the concept wasn't properly socialized with all the stakeholders before it was green-lighted?

Just pick out a few phrases or words and keep a tickmark nex to it.
People trying to baffle were very consistant.

the one that I REALLY hate is "no, it's not a problem, it's a challenge."

In my opinion it's a problem, and problems can be solved, if you are so meek that the word problem stops you in your tracks then you have a problem, if you are so feeble minded that changing the word problem to challenge tricks you into believing you're looking at something different then I have some real estate in FL to sell you and a bridge up north.

Yup. I had a manager a few years ago who insisted on "never point out a problem unless you have a solution." If you didn't have a solution, you were made to feel like you weren't a "team player". The result: people felt intimidated to bring up known issues, and ignored problems instead of escalating them through their manager. Brilliant!

Thanks. I would just throw it back at them. Who makes up this crap?
I only saw it in action once at an executive board meeting. Something about a new paradigm for enterprise resources and tools. Lost me.
