LOOSE THE AOL. The browser has nothing to do with getting kicked off of any dialup. Go get eather a dsl or cable modem. If you can't get eather you may want to look into a satellite connection. They are a little high on the price but are landline (phone) independant. Here is the one that I plan to get as soon as the P-car quits eating me out of house and home. Starband Satellite Internet

AOL blows. Forget about it completely. It's like paying to reside in Stalinist Russia. Go through your local cable or phone company--prices will be as good or better.

I also use AOL but do not have this problem. I would suggest that you upgrade to AOL 6.0 (pick up a ROM at Circuit City or Target or other retailers) You can also minimize AOL once your connected and use an external web browser that should already be on your PC.

I think that servers like aol and compuserve that suck beginners into their software are the work of the Devil!

People end up with all kinds of problems and never explore the tricks and possibilities that come with using browsers such as that wonderful software (Explorer) supplied to us by that kind, generous and honest microsoft man -Bill Gates.

Lest you guys forget, Netscape IS AOL now!

In my work, I've seen Netscape use absolutely plummet at my customers and web-site visitors in the past year. I hate to admit it, but IE 5.5 / 6.0 kicks ass over Netscape 4.x or 6.x. In fact NS 6.x is so slow and bug-ridden it is unusable IMHO.

If you're looking for a very feature-rich and fast "alternative" brower, check out Opera www.opera.com It rocks!

Pete,

Install ICQ or the WizOn connection utility and your dumping problems will be over with.
