Hi Guys & Gals
I don't know where to go( be gentle please) My 96 Savana 2500, 4.3 4 speed auto has a Trany problem I can't solve( or the dealer or 2 trany shops) Any one know where I can get an answewr to a trany problem. the truck shifts perfect until I run up to highway speed. Then it shifts very harsh from a stop ie. 1 to 2 and 2nd to 3rd. If I stop the truck and shut it off and restart it works fine again until I hit the highway. Its my work truck and I'd rather play with my Porsche. |

What tranny do you have, TH700R4, or the L model?
It sounds like pump presure is not being relieved. When you turn the vehicle off the presure bleeds down. Any leaks? Are the shift POINTS (rpm wise)the same when it shifts hard? If not you might have a frayed kick down cable. I am not familiar with the Savana and have never seen this particular problem, but I will help all I can if you can give me some more info. |
