name your car?

As a side note from all the technical talk, I'm curious if/what people name their Porsches? This should be a fun topic to discuss.

I would give it a girl's name, but haven't thought of one worthy yet.

I don't call it something specific, but here's a short list of what I can recall...

That move was awesome,
I COULD use more Power...
Wow,
Damn, that was close!
Only if you had 50 more horses...

87 951: Silver Bullet (the car was stone grey metallic, I know its tacky)

91 S2: Raven (the car was satin [mettalic] black)

88 951S: I haven't named it yet but rest assured I will. Currently the best I've got is Turbo Toy, but that one sounds cheesy.

I don't really like "Turbo Toy". It sounds like something you would call a Supra.

Todd,
Yeha that is why I said it was "cheesy" but she hasn't given herself a name yet. If I name her after my GF my GF will kill me so I just have to wait until something presents itself.

That's funny to hear Pilot951. My girlfriend wishes I would name my Porsche after her. Knowing how much I love my car and cherish it, she would see it as a very nice thing to do. In fact, I think she knows I love my car more than her, so all the more reason.

You need to set your GF straight. Get her up to speed on priorities.

We have two cars. We call our 85.5 "stinky" and our black on black 86 is called "midnight". The 85.5 is called "stinky" after an experience with some cleaning stuff that left an bad smell for a few days. We had a Dodge Dart that we called "Someday" cause we were going to fix her up "someday". Now we call that car "Long-gone". We call out 70, 240Z "The evil one"

I call my '88 944 Turbo the Money Pit, because it takes all my money. Of course, I could just stop spending money on it, but I'm not going to

Strange how this list could be mistaken for "What's your pet name for your girlfriend/wife?" Yea, I'm a pig and proud of it.

My wife (who obviously doesn't read this list) calls my 944 "baby" or "sweetheart." I wince at the female labels. Although, as much money, time, patience, and love I put into my 944, a female name is appropriate.

I call mine "Hoover" because it sounds like a big Hoover vacuum cleaner.

The black hole (after I take it in for maintainence that requires "special" tools)
The little green thing, Gang-Green(it grows on you),all of the cursing in above posts, and the best money I've ever spent!
I also found out that with Weltmeister bushings, sport struts, and a loud exhaust, my better half doesn't want to drive it anymore (yeah)! Now if I can find a way to get my 15 year old son to not like it.......
