As a film, WOTW really, really sucks. But as a subwoofer demo movie, it is the best thing ever made. According to some people who have done frequency analysis of the soundtrack, the lightning bolts sequence has some stuff under 10 Hz at very high volume. The sequence where the tripod comes out from under the street is simply incredible with a decent subwoofer (I have a Hsu VTF-3 MkII).

Agreed. To appreciate this movie you neeed a quality sound/subwoofer system. Forget about the "watching" experience and concentrate on the sound/subwoof feel of the experience. Many people have become accustomed to isolating just their visual experience and are just "watching" a movie. If you are only watching, its a crappy movie.(IMHO)

Makes me wish I hadn't sold off all of my home theatre stuff to pay for my honeymoon.
