Post resolution and moving forward

At the risk of furthering my nutcase status (better than no status at all), I report the latest from the front. Ended up selling the '87 to a very nice local guy. Wife had come around to the car, but it just wasn't the right car at the right time for the right reasons (right?). I already miss her (the car that is). The good thing is a lot of stuff got hashed out, and the relationship is now firing on all cylinders. In fact the wife talked me out of trading the 4-runner for a Subaru, and instead thinks we should keep the 4-runner and I should buy "something I really like" in the next few months. Taking all things into consideration, I think it will end up being a used BMW M Coupe. Sacrelige perhaps, but full warranty for a few years, robust AC, and damn fun. Another 911 will be in the household when I either don't have to drive it all the time (and have a garage space for it), or I can afford a 993.

Thanks to all that posted in the past. It's good to hear other people experiences and opinions, and I look forward to calmly lurking for awhile.

I thought that is what you did with the 911.

using 20/20 hindsight, at this point what I would "like" is a bit more creature comforts than the '87 offered...along with the safety net of a warranty. Silly stuff perhaps, but more important to me than I originally thought.

Nostatic,

I wish you the best of luck.

By the way, before I became a P-nut, I was in the market for BMWs and MBs. A coworker of mine screwed my mind when he said, "Hey, if those cars are good, how come there are so many FOR SALE units in those mags week after week?" Hmmmm?
