I would not try that here in the states. They would end up in bloody spots at the end of the train where they were stomped to death by the pax with balls. Course the French have a "ball option" with their males and guess no one brought their along.

Does not surprise me at all...

It seems messed up that out of 600 people they couldn't come up with enough men to stop it, but at the same time it's easy to see how it could happen. I wouldn't want to face 10 of them single handed. I may take some with me, but I'd probably end up in a body bag too. And getting enough men to confront them without several chickening out at the last minute leaving only a couple to take a beating or get stabbed and slashed.....

Steve,

It only takes a few guys to put down 10 punks. Every train car in Europe has two very good tools that any pax can use. One is a fire axe, the second is a fire extinguisher. Spray that in their faces and start swinging the axe and the numbers get even lower.

The difference is the "can do" attitude and they are trained to wait for someone to step in and take over. We have been brought up to take care of things ourselves until someone of authority shows up. Large difference IHMO.

You are correct that it would take a few partners and that could be tough to find in a French train...

Kach, You are correct. These are the same group of immigrants who were doing the riots and car burnings a few weeks ago. The police in Nice wanted them out but did not think ahead about what they would do on the train. The police deserve to be put in jail themselves for their actions.

The Washington Times is the loony/Moonie paper. But even they can't bury the whole truth: 3 'youths' arrested on robbery and sexual assault (groping) charges. Three others not charged and released. Hardly an incident worthy of international upset, except that it is so rare in France as to be remarkable. How often do similar things happen in the US?

France-bashing is just flat ignorant. It plays well with the why-should-I-have-a-passport crowd.

Seems to me,the only men the french have are in the Legion..oops most aren't frogs. Been there, lived there. To me, they are mostly very short Fonzie types.
Being of American/German descend I did not mixs well, got the eye,and comments..ask them to take this outside..and it was Mon Ami this and that.Bacteria has more spine.

Techie, techie, techie... we need to lend you a hand so often, it gets tiring.

Yes, they did get their hands on 3 of the criminals, but as many as 20 were on the train, thats a given. The police in Nice put them on the train along with 3 security people. The security people stayed on a couple of stops then got off. After the security people got off the criminals then started raping, robbing and just generally being dicks. They then for the most part got off of the train before the next stop, where they knew that police would be waiting. Pls show me something like this happening in the states where it would not be picked up? Now that you cannot, give it a break.

Why do we have to spell it out for you so often? When was the last time you were in France. Been 10 days for me and if you knew the way some of the gang members looked they would get your attention. Sitting in the sun in SoCal makes one's outlook change and its worked on you we see. The frogs have the spine of an ameoba and they bring this on themselves.

Before you ask, here is a posting of what happened, from a Rivera news source. Please tell me that they did not know what was happening in their part of the world, like you tried above with the Washington Times. You know, taking your brain out and playing with it can be harmful...
