Apples and oranges my ass. Now the NAACP, etc. is "against" black Republicans? whaaaaaaaaaa. The classic "victim" bull***** again. haha Look at it this way, if everyone thought a republican was like you, they'd have a very distorted view of what republicans are and they too would think all republicans are whacked out crazies. Now how realistic is that? It's not intelligent or realistic to attribute the actions of a few to millions. In fact, it's pretty damn stupid of that person who does that....

What I find interesting is how quick the left goes from throwing spears at Sharon to swinging his near dead body at Pat Robertson...What a bunch of scumbags. I will never forget the Democrats turning Paul Wellstone's memorial into a political rally and three-hour Republican hate-a-thon.

Do I REALLY need to bring up the treatment of Michael Steele, Black Republican running for Governor of Maryland?? The following is an excerpt from a Washington Times piece on the situation: "State Sen. Verna Jones, Baltimore Democrat and vice chairman of the General Assembly's black caucus, said black Republicans deserve criticism because the GOP has not promoted the interests of the black community. Even the spokesman for Mr. Mfume's campaign said pelting Mr. Steele with Oreo cookies and calling him an "Uncle Tom" are simply "pointing out the obvious." "There is a difference between pointing out the obvious and calling someone names," Mfume spokesman Joseph R. Trippi said Tuesday. " http://www.washingtontimes.com/metro/20051103-120701-5604r_page2.htm Yes, that is the spokesman for Kweisi Mfume, poster child of the Democratic party these days saying that.

Already been discussed Nathans_dad. How can you be so unrealistic to attribute one person's actions/feelings to millions of people?

One person?? Um, are you familiar with the story at all?? The man was pelted with Oreos by multiple black people at a debate. He was called an Uncle Tom by multiple black Democrats in Maryland. Mfume's spokesman said all this action was just "pointing out the obvious". Various black Democrats have refused to denounce the activity, trying to justify it because they say that party trumps race. It isn't "just one person"... But feel free to keep telling yourself that it doesn't happen.

When did I say it "doesn't happen?" This is an isolated incident with a few people at best. But feel free to keep telling yourself this is how millions are.....

And where did I say that I thought that is how "millions" are? You are the one that bristled at the idea that black Republicans are denigrated by Black Democrats. Seems to me you have the position to defend, not me.

Back on subject Stevepaa, go to amazon.com type in the name of the book and read the reviews. As far as kennedy paying less taxes than a 17 year old I should have said "on the hundreds of millions that he move to a tax shelter in Fiji" sorry. And sure there are no doubt plenty of republicans who are corrupt, and/or don't practice what they preach, and they should be called on the carpet as well. Just cause the author jumps on Liberal-democarts, doesn't mean others don't exist. The book discusses Nancy Pelosi and the fact that her family vineyards are non-union, and so are her restaurants, yet she preaches pro-union support publically and the United Farm Workers gave her an award last year for her pro-union stance...let me say again, her enterprises are non-union what's up with that?
