Booze

Situational favorites:

Vegas: Amaretto sour
Local clubs/bars: Jack 'n Coke or Guinness (sp?)
Wrenching: Bud light
Staying in/Home theater: Syrah or Lemburger
Airports: Bloody Mary
Hangin with the folks: Bloody Mary
Liquid courage: Grey Goose shot

Wow, this makes me look like a bigger drinker than I really am. But certain situations call for a certain drink. Know what I mean?

Recommendations for something new? Not big on smoky flavors or anything too sweet.

I like Captain Morgan and Diet Coke. Using the Diet doesn't add too much sugar.

Miller Lite for hangin' with the guys and wrenching....

I've never found a bar to make this or make it with the proper stuff. But this is a really nice drink. Just try it. It's called a Jack Rose. I make it for special occasions:

Get a shaker
Fill about 1/3 with ice
Pour in
Apple Jack Brandy 5oz. (Lairds ONLY, it's not that easy to find around here)
Grenadine 1.5oz
Lime Juice 2oz
Shake
Pour in chilled glass from freezer
Pour remainder in pitcher and put in freezer to keep cold and for more.

This makes about 4 drinks total.
