				A World without Pelican......

It's usually around 9am El Segundo time in the morning when the board goes breasts up while someone pushes the reset button, and it lasts for only a minute or two.

This afternoon, it was several hours. I got tired of seeing 'Server Not Available', and actually got away from the boat, and went and did some useful work. What would your day be like without Pelican? And thanks to whoever got the server back up...... |

A world without Pelican OT? The US productivity numbers would go up a solid point.

I was thinking the same thing during the server downtime. I went to 914club.com but it wasn't the same. Like others have said, I'd probably do some work.

There would be another gathering place. I really like this board, and I support the business as much as I can, but there's always a number two waiting to step up to the plate.

http://www.big-boards.com/board/157/ Has anyone ever seen this? Do I take it to mean that Pelican is the 157th busiest BBS on the net?

This bored has allowed me to meet several really nice people and learn about various topics I never would have considered. If it all ended I would be better rested and a lot more productive at work but a void would be there which could not be easily filled. Then again, if I never got on this board then how could I miss something I never had or could not conceive of?

Lived with a 911 and no Pelican (or Rennlist) and it was not an easy thing. The internet and these boards have really helped me keep the cars running and learned how to save some bux.

Was sitting here in London when the board went down. Waited a few minutes then realized that it was 15 minutes to midnight and I needed to get to bed. Damm I spend too much time here... ![]() Joe A

Just kidding I tried hanging out (I mean stealing time from work) at the watch BBS I like but there are no pro/anti God or liberal/Conservative zealots and they don't call each other names so it gets a little boring. Ultimately I had to (sigh) get some work done.
