Cool Old Skateboard Thread

Anyone else have em? I'm looking for a proline from the 70s with stoker wheels.

I wish I had kept my old boards!

Even had some sweet homemade wood longboards back in the late 70's early 80's. We lived in the hills and would do banzai runs sitting or laying down...no helmets or pads...it's a wonder we survived.

Remember OJ wheels?

Used to make them out of roller skates and plywood. Bought my first board in 1967. It was a Hang Ten model with the cute little feet decal. Still had steel wheels and you would take a header on a piece of gravel. Kids nowa days don't know how easy they have it.

My junior high wood shop had a pressure form for making decks.

Good times. I spent hours in that shop sanding

yeah, i remember the metal skates, hacksaw, and 1x4 creations. My favorite was an Infinity fiberglass board, SpeedSpring trucks, and PowerPaw wheels. It was short by today's "carving" standards, but that thing would stick and slalom on pretty much every parking structure and steep driveway drop (Mt. Helix in San Diego) I took it.

These days I have an Arbor long board...doesn't see too much use though...

Yeah... we had skinny steel wheels... and we had to walk ten miles to school... in the SNOW... BAREFOOT... and it was uphill... BOTH WAYS!

But you tell the kids today that and they won't believe you!
