Avatar Test

O K , I thought I'd test my little avatar. How do you get them to automatically change like animated gif's?

How about sharing with us how to customize your Avatar?

What is the definition of an Avatar?

Is it just a small "tag" picture?

You should have a graphics program like JASC's Animation shop. All you have to do is select the pictures and the timing for the slides. Save to your favorite directory. Go to edit options, select "change Avatar" then "Browse" to load from your favorite directory and ...there you are.

I'm sure having a hard time getting the pixel size below what my Kodak CD shows in the menu. I'm no IT pro, so I don't feel too badly.

Chris:

First of all thanks! How the heck did you do that?
Jeez, I've been working at this for an hour...or two.

Anyway, I like this new bbs. It's a real test for someone at my user level!

Hey Bob, I have a photo editing program called Paintshop pro. All I have to do is open an image file and resize it to 50 X 50 pixels. Yours wouldn't go 50x50 because of the width. Wayne is limiting the avatars to that size. I believe yours was 50x28 or something like that. Anyway, I see that you got it on there...pretty cool.

Thanks Chris:

lol...not your fault...the reason it would'nt go 50 x 50 is because I messed with the original pic and made it into a rectangle. Heck, if I were'nt learning, I'd be bored!

Go Here and get IrfanView. It's a FREE graphics program that most people consider the best Freeware program on the net. It will allow you to Resize\Resample any graphic with just a couple of clicks. One of those must have things. Good luck.

I just dl it. You guys are keeping me off the streets! Anyway, I have to go back to work on cleaning the underside. Jeez, you really learn about the previous owners' driving skills looking up at the floorpan.
