Good Chevy V8 Websites???

May be a stretch, but does anyone have good links to come Chevy V8 performance websites?

Particularly, for V8s used on conversion or kit cars. Would like really basic info on V8s, like how to tell what size, year, etc. the engine is based on the engine number, and also info like basic performance upgrades - electronic ignition, cam, etc.

Also interested in what smog equipment generally came on '70s Chevy V8s, and how best to remove it, what lines need to be plugged up, etc.
