Automotive art appraisal??
Some of you may recall the automotive cartoon work of Howard Shoemaker. He did cartoons and artwork for Road&Track, Christophorus, Panorama, and others. He's been a pen pal of mine for decades. He has a MD friend in Omaha who has several dozen pieces of Shoe's original artwork from those days, plus some one offs of various cartoons and illustrations. I don't believe that this MD wishes to sell anything, but he's puzzled about setting a value for insurance purposes. Does anybody here have any ideas on how to proceed setting an insurance value?

Paul - my first thought would be to contact Collector Studio Motorsport Gallery in Toronto.
