HOW can they tell if a search was executed by a 10 year old or a 50 year old?
They can't. And why should they care? If anyone can do a simple Google search, and come up with accessible porn, they'll use that in their appeal. I get the impression they want to find out what search strings produce porn that's not behind some age check barrier or something.

Lets see, we have .com, .org, .edu, .biz, etc, etc, etc....

I think a lot (note: I didn't say ALL) of this could be resolved by a simple addition of a ".porn" or something to that affect for porn related websites. This way, all the porn in the world could be available to anyone who wants it, so long as they had the proper credentials. And then leave the access credentials up to the parent.

Parents could put a block on any ".porn" websites (should they choose to) and then everyone would have one less thing in their world to worry about.

Yup, makes sense doesn't it. The powers to be that consider new domain suffixes wouldn't allow .sex to be created. Go figure.

I wish the gubmint would take control of pay TV. I'm tired of accidentally seein' t1tties on TV.

My wife's gonna be real p!ssed if someone's taking pictures of her using shaving products and she ain't getting paid for it....

I agree with Randy.

How about a .cum as a new TLD?

Yeah, I thought about that one...figured I'd caused enough trouble lately.

The petition for a new .xxx TLD was successfuly fought by conservatives. I have never been able to get an explanation of that from anyone.

I would be utterly simple to punish pornographers not using that TLD and block .xxx addresses from computers accessible to minors, prisoners, convicted sex offeners, etc.

Making a specific name for the porn sites sounds like a pretty good solution to me. It would make it much easier to block the sites on your computer.

Now if they would just do something about the friggin e-mail spam. I swear I get 10-15 junk e-mails per day.

Been discussed, it's .xxx. But alas.....blocked....surprise surprise.....

An official from President George Bush's administration has asked for the brakes be put on the planned domain name until its impact is studied more.

For the record, many countries objected to the .xxx aka .sex TLD. The Adult Entertainment industry objected as well as it will be too easy to block. Also, if the TLD is adopted there's no plan in place to force adult content providers to migrate over to .xxx. ...and what constitutes an adult website?
