Clint's the man. Though I have to admit I'm starting to appreciate some of Selleck's western work.

Segal is not only a martial arts master, he is the only Caucasian in history to own and run an aikido dojo in Japan.

He is not a nice person I have heard and has hurt people including his x wife.

There was a story once of how Segal was pulling his usual BS on the set challenging everyone / anyone and one of the guys on there was "Judo" Gene Labell - Segal was talking crap to him

Judo left him so bad (choked out Segal) Segal was so disoriented as he getting up, and smacked his head on a table and cut it wide open. He also pissed himself...
.

Not bad for a guy who's probably 20 years Segal's senior.

Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris are the real deal - Bruce had a nickname amongst the locals during his San Fran days -"walking death" - draw your own conclusions. Chuck has so much power once he kicked an opponent over the TOP rope and the guy finally landed like 2 rows back. Just like in the cartoons.

We still have Chuck, but it's sad there's no Bruce. Would've been intersting to see.

I heard Van Damme's a phony too, got his ass beat on several occasions.

I'd love to see a matchup of Bruce Lee and Jet Li. One hell of a fight.

Yeah, the strip club fight?? That dude in "OZ" dropped him in two strikes? I remember hearing about that

Van Damme doesn't have much credibility in martial arts circles.

Bruce Lee was one of the first MMA fighters and was ridiculed for it. The UFC is based upon his ideas of finding which, if any, martial art was superior. It turns out that Mixed Martial Arts (combination of stand up fighting and ground fighting) works best. Bruce was far ahead of his time shirking katas instead focusing on reality fighting. I admire him greatly hence my signature line, "No way as way" which came from Bruce. The theory is that you cannot contain one way as better than others as you constantly search for improvements.

It would have been interesting to be able to meet and train with Bruce. As a MMA fighter, it would be outstanding to hear his beliefs and train in JKD with him, David

My cousin Dave grew up buddies with Brandon Lee and they trained JKD together. I met Brandon once or twice but that was a LONG time ago...I do remember seeing some of the cool swords and other weapons at their house. Bummer that we lost Bruce as well as Brandon way before their times.
