Project Evil e30: Just some latest pics

Made the downpipe last night using FLUXCORE because I ran out of gas and just wanted to get it done. After some grinding, paint and thermal wrap you won't notice.

Also mounted the IC up front.

Here is my downpipe escapade:

Flange w/ wastegate hole made larger.

Cut piece of 2.5" stainless pipe to fit

Fitting

welded. Ufff, those are some gangster welds.

And yes I did cut a hole in the downpipe. Just forgot to take a pic, lol.

Some pics of the car:

That engine bay is so clean - the turbo almost looks OEM!

I bet your neighbors love that parked out in the street! Nice work, I wish I had a welder to ghetto weld with.

I do pretty well when I has the gas hooked up. I'll post some pics of some previous work. Not to shabby for a novice.

That fluxcore is nasty stuff. Sparks and smoke and slag everywhere. I think those are clean flux welds, lol.

I hope to hit up some track events down south in the next few months we should definelty meet up.

I get fairly good results with the fluxcore stuff as long as I don't go over .35 and let it do it's own speed. Gas is nice but the other is ok if you have the time to wait . I found bump up the temp and slow down the speed it works well.

I tried to run it hotter and less feed but it was buring through the 16 gauge pipe so I had to back it down.
