How Bout This for a New Show - Pimp My Business
You have Pimp My Ride, Monster House, how about "Pimp My Business" or Monster Business"?
Take a small to medium size company and bring in some top flight marketing, sales, manufacturing and ops people not to mention all the other groups like maint and eng and look to set a faultering co back on track? I got ther idea this week when I was able to save Pepsi Bottling Group over 100K. The manager said I "I did a monster sty;e overhaul to his group" of the business, I told him that I should have a show doing that for other folks. Theythought the show would have legs. Whatya tink?

Caught something like this on UK television (BBC Prime) a while back, where they took a kick-ass consultant into struggling small businesses to try and turn them around. Only caught one episode, but found it very interesting.

Not a bad idea! A similar one is that show where they redo someones restaurant. They bring in big name chefs to go over the menus and revamp the kitchens for better production.

There's plenty of $ around for these private equity deals. The right deal with the right answers to the co problems is doable. And now is the right time to act imo.

Hey Mike,
Empty your PM box. I have been trying to contact you for a while now. I think it is a good idea for a show. Dean

I watched a show a couple of months ago that did exactly what you described. They "pimped" some small internet cafe place. Can't remember the name but I will see if I can't find it somewhere.

Dean - cleared out the PM.
As for the show, I have the chops to revamp marketing, sales and research and development and maintenance. Advertising is a stretch and forget about accounting, operations and logistics but I am sure that there are very capable high flyers that could make that happen. If you guys are serious, let me know, I'll write up a prospectus and pass it by some folks. More thought has to go into it but I can think of a few channels that are prime for it.

Tell me ya couldn't get some players to donate there wears for free pub - SAP and oricle would line up - not that anyone would want them but I offer that up as an example.
TLC or The Discovery Channel are prime for such a market. They hit the science sector hard so why ignore the small Mom&Pop bidness' or even the companies with 50 to 100 employees? I'm tell'n ya, McKenzie the F out of it! Anderson it up against the Wall! GE cap that ass!

As the owner of a small business myself and unable to take out advertising, I'd say that idea rocks. I could really use something like that!
I should post a picture of my operating space. You'd laugh. |
