Porsche Crest F1 Brakes

Are the brakes on the F1 cars drum style? I looked in some old magazines but didn''t find anything to help me.
They sure look like they are enclosed. Disc brakes wouldn't hold up to the rigors, maybe?

When you say "enclosed", you may be referring to the barrel ducts on the inner side the discs that have been in vogue for the last couple of years, such as these by the now defunct Arrows team?

I think that the purpose of those is more aero rather than cooling, in that they are meant to control/direct the exit/airflow of heated air from the brakes.

To clean up the exit flow further, Ferrari and others now use an outer barrel/donut as well:

See how the relatively heavy caliper is slung under the disc, trying as best they can to lower the center of gravity. These guys think of everything!

Why not?

I'll bet right out of the box we could be about as quick as Super Aguri. And make Toyota nervous...
