really OT, Microsoft Project problem
I've got a big project I need to manage. Seven main tasks over 4 years on an 800 line project plan I put together.
Each task is time spanned and not effort driven. For instance, R&R carburetor. I give a span of two days. Now how do I actually assign 4 hours to do it in that time span and how to assign a resource to do it? thanks |

We use MSExcel for this type of document at work. Excel can do simple project tracking without the steep learning curve of MSProject. MSProject looks easy, but it isn't... Maybe I'm just too dumb to learn it?

Never tried Excel for that. This is a complicated program with 4 resource groups, capital money and manhours to keep track off.
