PA here I come!

Yep...I did it. I'm officially leaving FL now. I bought this shack outside Newcastle PA. (yes I know it snows) It is literally a house in the woods about 3 acres of them.
Now I need to move the FL digs before MAy 12th. Movers for estimates and Fed ex is shipping the 911. Can't wait!

New Castle, above Pittsburgh? Not too far from here. Send me an email when you arrive and I can introduce you to some Porscheheads.

targa,

welcome to western PA. You will love it here--seriously. Perhaps we can throw back some cold ones once you get settled.

well it has a giant garage with skylites so that's covered. I don't want to drive it, ...well because I have a van as my primary and it will move me the wife and dogs..that oughtta be fun and the 911 is 36 years old so it will save some wear and tear. Eric I was in 2 weeks ago and I already love it. The house backs up to Newcastle Country Club off of 18, you know where that is? Snow???? I'm retired, I don't care about snow..I'll just throw another log on the fire and stay home. Sure beats boarding up for a hurricane!

Yeah that would be right. Firewood and my bass rig! I sold the PA system to the band here so I'm free at last. Now I need to find a band in PA...maybe I'll give Donnie Iris a call!

Very cool. I grew up near Slippery Rock (just east and a little north of New Castle). I don't recall seeing many 911s in that area but there are many rural twisty roads that I would love to drive the 911 on.

Welcome to western PA! I'm about 2 1/2 hours east, near Altoona.

I'll be passing you going the other way. I'm arriving in Florida, WPB, on May 2-3. I guess the grass is always greener. . . Good luck and enjoy!

Another welcome to Western PA!
Coming just in time for nice P-car weather.
I went to college near New Castle and I am just east of Pitt.
Donnie Iris still has a big local following.
Keep an eye out for details on the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
It's in the middle of July. Great car events topped off by a big car show and vintage races.
Mike

You would not believe how many Floridians are leaving and getting out of the "hurricane zone". At the very least a lot of us have bought second homes up North.

I bought up in North Carolina in anticipation of the Cat 5.

Need a house? Just had hurricane shutters put on last year. Good luck with your FL move. Florida has been very good to me..hell I found my 911 here. Jeremy I will miss you all too. The Starbucks mornings after a gig were memorable. But see there is another Porsche to fill my spot. I am originally from Cleveland .....but they never win a Superbowl so....PGH it is!
