My question is who and how were these illegals and their friends organized?...It was obviously well-orchestrated. Obviously a lot of Mexicans and illegals were lied to to whip them up into a frenzy.

How much you wanna bet it was a leftist organization or organizations?

Tech I don't know where the heck you got a number like 3 to 6 feet of global sea level rise over the next few decades but that is off by few orders of magnitude...

http://yosemite.epa.gov/oar/globalwarming.nsf/content/ResourceCenterPublicationsProbability.html

1. Global warming is most likely to raise sea level 15 cm by the year 2050 and 34 cm by the year 2100. There is also a 10 percent chance that climate change will contribute 30 cm by 2050 and 65 cm by 2100. These estimates do not include sea level rise caused by factors other than greenhouse warming.

2. There is a 1 percent chance that global warming will raise sea level 1 meter in the next 100 years and 4 meters in the next 200 years. By the year 2200, there is also a 10 percent chance of a 2-meter contribution, and a 1-in-40 chance of a 3-meter contribution. Such a large rise in sea level could occur either if Antarctic ocean temperatures warm 5°C and Antarctic ice streams respond more rapidly than most glaciologists expect, or if Greenland temperatures warm by more than 10°C. Neither of these scenarios is likely.

**Snip**

6. Along most coasts, factors other than anthropogenic climate change will cause the sea to rise more than the rise resulting from climate change alone. These factors include compaction and subsidence of land, groundwater depletion, and natural climate variations. If these factors do not change, global sea level is likely to rise 45 cm by the year 2100, with a 1 percent chance of a 112 cm rise. Along the coast of New York, which typifies the United States, sea level is likely to rise 26 cm by 2050 and 55 cm by 2100. There is also a 1 percent chance of a 55 cm rise by 2050 and a 120 cm rise by 2100.

55 cm is 20.5 inches...less than 2 feet in the next 100 years.

Not only that, but it isn't like the sea will rise those 20.5 inches all at once. It will occur slowly and the coastline will change with it. A sea level rise of 3-6 feet over a few decades would be Bilblical in its effect.

As long as a society continues to attract the less educated, less skilled, it will continue to debase that society and lower its overall standards, not raise them. Cali pays one of the lowest per pupil costs for education in K-12 because we have so many illegals with lots of kids and parents who don't pay taxes. So you and I get to pay for their kids "fair share" of the education.

Nobody knows the rate of sea level rise we will experience. The Greenland icecap melt seems to be accelerating beyond all estimates. And the Antarctic ice is also thinning at an alarming rate. Some think there will be a logarithmic rate of rise in sea level. But nobody really knows -- the # of factors involved is staggering.

Anyway, like the Travis Bickle quote, it was hyperbolic.

My point was that these seeming 'crises' will be minor in comparison to what we may face from climate change.

All three have plenty of repeat customers. Actually, it's their experience with unreliable Anglo workers that caused them to hire only Mexicans.

Back on topic:

The March 7th rally outside the U.S. Capitol was organized by the National Capital Immigration Coalition.
The National Capital Immigration Coalition consists of 45 faith, labor, business and community based organizations from Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/07/AR2006030701673.html

""You do not become American because you're lucky enough to be born of wealthy parents," Rep. James P. Moran (D-Va.) told the crowd, which stretched from the steps leading to the entrance on the Capitol's west side to its reflecting pool below. "You become an American by working hard and providing for your family. By that definition, you are true Americans."

Standing among the throng, Jose Padeaidad, 26, a Rehoboth Beach, Del. chef who emigrated from Guatemala, nodded and said the proposed legislation would make it difficult to help cousins who are not citizens look for jobs and housing."
.
Let's see now - among my ideas of what a "true American" is:
...one who is a legal citizen/took the oath of citizenship, speaks English, assimilates into the culture rather than balkanizing US cities and towns, pays taxes, knows who Dale Evans was, is familiar w/the US Constitution and US history, has the power of the vote, is allowed the privilege of a driver's license, and generally doesn't bilk the local, state, and Fed. treasury...etc., ...

IMO, Rep. James P. Moran (D-Va.) is just another career political whore (aren't they all?) looking to remain in office in order to gratify his addiction to Power and Money - the cost of his wet dream is laid on the backs of citizen-taxpayers.
Not only is our citizenship being devalued, our culture being transmogrified, but our tax money is paying for it.
What a deal.

Folks, we, the taxpaying citizen-voter Americans, are at war with our own gov't. Make no mistake about it!!!
Among what to fear about this fiasco is the sheer numbers of illegal aliens entering the US on a daily basis being granted swift and false citizen status by the career political whores, then voting status.
That's when you will see far more major changes come down.
You ain't seen nuttin' yet. We are losing our country!!!

I went to high school with a girl named Loretta Sanchez.
After college she got married and took her husband's last name, which BTW was not hispanic.
She ran in several local elections and lost every one of them.
the DMC approached her and told her that if she changed her name back to Sanchez, they could get her elected.
She did, they did, now she is a member of the US congress only because so many latino's in her district (Santa Ana mostly) voted for an hispanic name. She could not get elected with a caucasian name, but with an hispanic name she goes directly to congress with no political experience whatsoever. Nice system.

Loretta Sanchez is a total MILF. Her sister, also a US Rep., is not so hot. Loretta beat B1 Bob Dornan by the slimmest of margins.

BTW, she did not live in her present district. The way I heard it was that she moved there just before the registration deadline she so she could have a better chance of getting elected. The fact that Bob Dornan was a raving lunatic helped her cause by bringing too much attention to the district and therby, DMC money.
B1 Bob scared the heck out of me and I'm a conservative. What a nut.

Rick, have you seen Ms. Sanchez up close without TV makeup?

quote "Sanchez was born in Lynwood, California and graduated from Katella High School in Anaheim in 1978. She received her undergraduate degree from Chapman University in Orange in 1982, obtained her MBA from American University in Washington, DC in 1984, and was a financial analyst until entering the House.

Entry into Politics
In 1994 she unsuccessfully ran for the Anaheim City Council under her then married name, Loretta Brixey. At the time, she was a registered Republican. After forays into politics as a Republican, she changed parties, recast herself as a moderate Democrat, and dropped her married name in favor of her maiden name Sanchez. Her first election to the House, in what was then the 46th District in 1996, was bitterly fought. The controversial longtime Republican incumbent, Bob Dornan, was targeted as out of touch with his constituency, especially after a distracting run for the 1996 Republican Presidential nomination. The 46th had always had a Democratic tilt, but became even more Democratic after the 1990 census when it received a considerably larger number of Hispanics than had previously been in the district. She won by only 984 votes on the strength of support from Hispanics and blue-collar workers. She became the first Latina to represent an Orange County-based district. Dornan contested the election, alleging that some voters who were registered were not U.S. citizens, but the results were upheld. Sanchez handily defeated Dornan in a 1998 rematch and has not faced truly serious opposition since. Her district was renumbered the 47th District after the 2000 census.

In November 2002, Loretta's younger sister, Linda, was elected for the new 39th District. They are the first pair of sisters to serve simultaneously in the United States Congress"

I spent part of my childhood growing up in Mexico. Know a fair amount about the country and its people. Friend just sent me this and its spot on.

Subject: Try this experiment...!!!!

Move to Mexico??

If you are ready for the adventure of a lifetime, TRY THIS:

Enter Mexico illegally. Never mind immigration quotas, visas, international law, or any of that nonsense.

Once there, demand that the local government provide free medical care for you and your entire family. Demand bilingual nurses and doctors.

Demand free bilingual local government forms, bulletins, etc.

Procreate abundantly.

Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive behavior with, "It is a cultural U.S.A. thing. You would not
understand, pal."

Here's a group that's pretty unapologetic about supporting the illegals.
http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=62984

Sammy, I haven't seen Sanchez with no make up on (I wish!). But I've passed by her in the hallways a few times and though it was a few yrs. ago, I'd sure hit it.

They didn't break the law, they are misunderstood, and to those that think they did.. his plan will make them just like you, a fine upstanding Citizen, who had better vote Rep.
Beyond disgusted, not disappointed, I still know bullsh#t , is still sh#t..you just know who did it.

Thom,

To tell the truth, America is the ONLY country in the world who puts up with this crap. Why is a good question but no other question that I know of does this to this extent.

There are limits and believe that we have gone past ours in several areas.

Why? Why, you ask?
Because Americans are apathetic, that's why.
I doubt that there's a person on this forum who has not watched this fiasco develop for years now.
This is happening because WE are allowing our elected officials to pull it off...that's why.

Are you kidding? The rhetoric on this site is mild compared to most.
They all use inflammatory language and outright lies to bolster their agenda and to incite support.

Regarding the Minuteman movement:
"This fringe group should not be allowed to further a racist agenda under color of law," said Nelson A. Castillo, HNBA National President, and an immigrant to the United States.
.
Then we have our lying, betraying asshat Prez. chiming in:

"President George W. Bush has expressed opposition to the group, labeling them "border vigilantes."
.
Like I said previously, we US citizens are at war with our own gov't!!!
"Free" Trade anyone?
.
This is NOT about from where the illegal aliens come. This IS about the NUMBERS and the fact that one group of foreigners need not take over our land. Nope...our land, our country, our culture, our language, our tax money is being handed to them by our very own betraying elected officials who are being bought off with money, favors, and the promise of votes.
Who do we see about that?
