tattoo removal

I need to get a couple of tats removed. Has anyone here had this done before? I searched google and there is a lot of info on this topic. Laser tattoo removal seems like the best way to go. However, I also saw this: http://www.dermasal.com/ its a chemical I guess. I do not know if it really works or not.

They're very difficult to remove without any residual traces left behind. It can get expensive as well.

In one of the military units I was in we had a guy, former marine, with tats on both arms finish his undergrad degree and get accepted into med school. He had to wear long sleeved shirts winter or summer while he saw patients. That was in the late '80's, don't know whether he's had them removed by now or not.

The latest thing is laser removal, which takes time and money. Also, the ease of removal depends on the age of the tats as well. Be careful, you don't want to do something that will require a skin graft later.

Belt sander? That's the wussy way, Bryan.

If you want to get rid of a tatto, and make sure it stays gone, ya gotta sear it off with an iron...the hottest it will go...no steam!

When I worked on Jackass-The Movie, one of the gags that Johnny Knoxville wanted to do was have someone pull up the skin on his forearm and shoot a small tattoo off with a 9mm. We wouldn't let him do it.

A friend of my step-dad removed one the old-school way.

Every day you take some rock-salt and scrub the hell out of it. After a few months it was gone. She was a tough broad.

I have heard the HAMC has a rather direct way to remove club logos from guys that get kicked out, or from guys that get them but are not members. It's supposed to be fairly quick, innexpensive, and effective. You might ask one for some pointers.

My daughter's boyfriend recently had a tattoo removed. It took three sessions but the tattoo has been removed. The best part is that my daughter had some small ones she'd done herself on her hand removed at the same time. They were really horrible and until now had always refused to have them removed. (Clean hands again!
I was there at the boyfriend's first session (I wanted to see it done as I'm obviously interested because of my daughter's extensive collection).
They first used a mild local anaestetic and an anaestetic cream. It was then blasted with a laser, a dot about the size of a pinhead. This was described as feeling like a mild burn when it was being done. He flinched a bit at the time, the real fun came about an hour later when the anaestetic wore off and the burn kicked in. The colour at first seems to intensify and then the lymph glands clean it up. It took three one hour sessions to complete over a month and left what I would describe as blemising, invisible when the hair on his arm grows back. My daughter's was much quicker and taken care of in a half-hour session. She needs to go back for a couple of spots that were missed first time round. Unfortunately the rest of her art gallery is safe

If my daughter turned up with something like this:

I would remove in a similar way - and that would be just for starters!

Yep. If the word "classy" is used to describe something, its the last thing it will be.

Kind of like "No disrespect..." or "No offense..." means someone's about to be disrespected or offended.
