Ultra Conservative Philiosophy

I have a very good friend of many years now that is a member of the John Birch Society....meaning to the right of Antillia the Hun.....or a Commie is hiding under every bed.

For years he has stated that the US should tell the UN where to get off, that we should tell our Allies the same thing cause they really hate us more than our enemies do, that the USA has bent over backwards to please other nations at the expense of ourselves.... etc etc etc..

Well it is this same mind set that is now in the WH....they have decided to not even try and explain themselves cause they know that it isn't any use trying to change anyones mind...they are going to carry out their agenda whether anyone (other nations) likes it or not. They are putting America First, and letting everyone lump it if they don't like it.

In reality the only difference between this Administration and anyother Post WW2 administration is that we just don't givem the REACH AROUND anymore, that used to make others at least feel good about themselves while they were being fked......

The JBS is adamantly opposed to the invasion and attempted conquest of Iraq, and nearly every other aspect of the Bush'ist foreign policy.

I agree with their stand on the UN, and agree with their profoundly isolationist foreign policies as well.

I said my friend WAS a John Birch society member to be descriptive of how Ultra Conserative he is....and that has given me an understanding of how they think...

I always knew that the issue of WMDs was an advertising SELLING POINT to the American people.

Maybe Iraq just comes down to the USA using a Baseball Bat to smash in the head of a country/leadership that trys to act all that big by spitting in the face of America. To teach the world a lesson that you just don't want to go there..or that U go there at your peril. That America is TOP DOG and don't you forget it.

No you don't, you falsely believe that Article VI gives the UN predominant influence over American foreign policy...You believe that the collection of dictatorships over at the UN have authority and dominion over America, and thus we are in violation of international law and Bush is a war criminal.

I am an ultra conservative and I can assure you that GWB is not.Making sport of a group such as the JBS is a method that the media employs in an attempt to discount what they preach. Thus far, much of what they have said has proven to be true and much more so in the future. We as americans are digging ourselves in deeper everyday as we allow leaders such as GWB, Clinton, Bush I etc to lead us down the path that the Tri lateralists, and Council on Foreign Relations have laid out. For better or worse, Theodore, your friend is correct. As Americans we should put America first - in all situations. Putting America first is not something another country like France or Iran would not do for themselves, so I think like-minded thought is applicable in what is otherwise a hostile world for the U.S.

However, where you falter is in your comparison of that theory to the current administration is in your thought that their actions are being endeavored with America's interests in mind.

Hour by hour almost, we find that Iraq has not been conducted with America's best interests in mind. Wiretapping, Homeland Security, a pandemic throughout the U.S. of fear and wariness of each other - I can't say that - the lion's share which has been established by the current administration - is exactly in the best interest of all Americans.

I imagine the big question (at least for me) when reading your remarks is whose "America" is the WH's "agenda" putting "First"?

This trend has been going on for a long time...since the end of the 60s the Americian people have been under economic pressure....

Anybody concluding that the actions of the current "administration" put either America or freedom first has been pathetically indoctrinated. But let's assume this were true.

It is like we are living in a tent city, and the other tent families represent other countries. We might not want to walk all the way to the latrine. Maybe we just want to walt fifty feet from our tent, over near someone else's tent, and crap there. And since we are bigger than they are, we can. This is "conservative" international diplomacy.

And in keeping with this analogy, we decided that somebody had to put a stop to the wifebeater a few tents down. We load our handgun, wander down there with our beer and BLAM BLAM BLAM, we blow the wifebeater (Saddam) away.

Does anybody think that perhaps, just maybe, we're making enemies with this behavior? Who thinks that making enemies helps America to be more secure?
