Is this guys nuts or what?

What is this guy thinking, does he have a brain at all?

The Mission Impossible star has apparently vowed to eat Katie's placenta straight after she has given birth as he believes it will be very nutritious
Tom 'to eat afterbirth'
11.55AM, Tue Apr 18 2006

Sofa leaping father-to-be Tom Cruise has revealed his latest bizarre plan - to eat Katie Holmes' placenta.

In an admission which seems to prove Cruise desperate to stay in the headlines, the Mission Impossible star has apparently vowed to eat Katie's placenta straight after she has given birth as he believes it will be very nutritious.

The admission is just the latest in a long line of crazy outbursts which Tom has appeared adamant to shock the world with.

Just days ago the star completely backtracked on comments he had made, saying that Katie would have to give birth in complete silence and that she should not scream.

Surprising as it may seem, Tom is not the only person to have odd placenta wishes- after the birth, some women take a piece of paper and lay the placenta on it and later frame it and hang it on the wall!

Eating the placenta, placentophagia, is practised in many parts of the world- famously back in 1998, a British television chef fried it and served it to all of his guests!

Showbiz couple Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster took home their baby's placenta and buried it in the garden.

The act may appear odd to many, but it is believed eating the placenta helps avoid postnatal depression and is deemed as normal in many cultures.

It's not another baby, it's left overs. It should be disposed of.

If he doesn't finish, then it'll be leftovers.

"What's in the fridge, Honey?"

"Meatloaf, looks like old lasagna... Oh good, some afterbirth!"

Just to set the record straight, I believe it is technically the fetus' placenta not Katie's placenta and if he does eat it I hope there was evidence of merconium staining.

This guy may well turn to cannabalism next.

My next door neighbors in West Stockbridge Massachusetts had a baby and planned to do the tree planting, fertized with placenta thing, and stored the placenta in the freezer until spring...

"Honey? Did you see the frozen spaghetti?"

"Yep. It's under Ransome's placenta."

He is/was the director of Social Workers in Pittsfield Mass. His wife is a Psychiatric Nurse. Yes they named one of thier kids 'Ransome'. The other one is 'Eiton' (Pronounced like "A ton").

He likes to tell the story of when he has a degenerate bum/hippy in California, living near Berkley, under plastic by a river, getting free cheese from the government. He was hitchhiking and was picked up by Jerry Garcia in a Bently. Jerry BS'd with him and then left him with $20 when he dropped him off.

Did anyone catch the Diane Sawyer interview last weekend? I caught a little preview of it, looked like some damage control effort by Tom Cruise.

didn't see it, but sure wouldn't surprise me..he's been 'off the charts' so much in the press lately, that he's starting to make michael jackson seem more normal again.

This thread is worthless without recipes.

http://www.viceland.com/int/v13n3/htdocs/baby.php?country=us

"Eating a human placenta is harder than you might imagine. First off, they are difficult to trap. Growing up in the hippie mecca of Austin, Texas, one heard about earth-mother types planting their infants’ placentas under trees and even grinding them up into smoothies. It seemed like no big deal. So when my buddy knocked up his wife, we began plotting a BBQ accordingly. We asked the midwife to smuggle out the goods for us, but she was a bit worried. We promised her some weed and she agreed to try. Hippies!

My favorite headlines from one of those tabloids are, 1. "Boy George goes on Date with Michael Jackson" (well before the pedo episodes), and 2. "Russians cross human with Gorilla to Create Super Soldier".

I haven't seen any to top those two.
