Try the Reverend Horton Heat. They're psychobilly/swing/punk and focus on cars/chicks/booze/cars/drugs. Very fast. Very fun. If you live in the middle of nowhere, driving hundreds of miles at a time alone, something wierd and mellow like Beth Orton or the Gibbons chick from Portishead can be nice, too. I drove XC a few years back with Johnny Cash and Dylan box sets. That worked... mike '78SC |
