paul..i've still got vinyl..six small u-haul boxes full of them..mostly 50's -60's stuff. irreplaceable. i was burglarized just before xmas this year, but they only took the stereo itself. unfortunately, i had a beloved errol garner album on the turntable. no doubt that wound up tossed like a ****in' frizbee. leeches.. :(

You were lucky...the equipment can be replaced. But the vinyl? Like they say, they don't make that anymore. You know, I kind of feel sorry for those here who only hear digital. Vinyl has a warmth, a smoothness, that I don't think can be replicated on a CD...
