US government tipping Mexican government to Minutemen

Yes, you read correctly. The US government is telling the Mexican government when and where the Minutemen border defenders will be patrolling, and a whole lot more.

No, it's not a theory, either, the Border Patrol not only confirmed it, they appear proud of it.

The National Retail Sales Association reports that on May 1st, as a result of the Mexican boycott, there was a .2% decline in sales for the day, compared to the baseline average.

This was more than offset, however, by the 67.8% reduction in shoplifting losses.

Illegal immigration into the United States is the relief valve for building pressures inside Mexico. The Wall Street Journal had an op/ed piece last week on how this is a good thing and stops the leftists from taking over down there.

They have got to be kidding. Illegals are up 40% in 5 years. Amnesty, green cards, citizenship, sponsorship of parents/wives/kids/siblings? When is this going to end?

Build the wall and let the revolution begin!

"Immigrants' rights". Um. Yea. Got news for you people - illegal immigrants HAVE NO RIGHTS other than basic human rights afforded to anyone anywhere. As far as I'm concerned, that's where "rights" end for these criminals.

My uncle was a border patrol agent for about 30 years; even he's disgusted with how the agency has become marginalized in the interest of furthering a Bush political agenda (AND he's a Republican, BTW).

The more illegals that get in, the more of a case Bush can make for a "guest [illegal] worker" program. . . This one really IS Bush's fault.

A few million encouraged to go home and not rewarded for breaking the law would be a first step. They might take a look around and not like what they see. They might want to put some of that hard work into their own country and reap the fruit of their labors. Viva la Revolution!

What the hell?? Give me a break! We should stop being so mamby-pamby about this and get serious! Just put the national guard on the border, fine each employer that hires an illegal alien $10K for each infraction, and pass legislation for local police to work with INS/ICE. Oh yeah, did you hear about the voter fraud that is in the works here in California? We should make it mandatory for voters to show valid california drivers licenses when they show up at the polls. I heard about 61% of latino voters are not legal and allowed to vote? Is that right???

Won't happen. Employers want and need cheap immigrant labor, and they make political contributions to ensure they get it. At the same time, politicians are pandering to the immigrant community - legal and illegal. Mexico is happy to get rid of all these po' folks, who then turn around and send money home. Everybody wins except those of us who oppose illegal immigration, but it's easy to paint us as cross-burning racists.

tech - it is more like an ethnic joke. Something we do quite often in New York and have a small chuckle. Maybe we are a little more relaxed than other places?

And if you read the snopes link (and I suggest all do) it is pretty grim. The kind of information you won't find the major media spooning out.
