That is what I was thinking of with the aluminum foil and bleach. I hadn't heard that it will produce hydrogen though.

We used to do HCl and aluminum foil. Put the conc. HCl in an Almenden wine bottle (the shape was key), drop in some foil, then put a balloon over the opening. It would fill with H2 gas. When it was full, tie off the balloon, then tie a string about a foot long onto it. Soak the string in Ronson lighter fluid, light the bottom of the string and let it go. Depending on the length of the string, it would float up 25-50' and then turn into a nice fireball.
