I thought it was OK, certainly not a comedy or uplifting but PSH captured the little twit pretty well.

Not for Red State viewing, It's about a writer of literature.

Judging by the apparent state of education in your state..."viewing" is the only option there.

Chipotle

Taco Bell has been pushing this for months. Never heard of it before; curiosity got the best of me and I bought some out of the BiLo spice rack. It's OK, but not worth writing a book about.

I thought PSH did a great acting job. Altough not my favorite movie, but given the choices in the field not too bad.

Well it has gotten better, it's watchable. If the portrayal is accurate Capote was a total douche bag with serious affirmation needs. A self absorbed tool with a crazy inflated sense of self worth.

Pretty sure that's not what I was suppose to get from it

I would not be so sure; a lot of talented creative people are not too savory on a personal level. Narcissism and genius go together like hand in glove.

EDIT: I cleared out my PM inbox.

I remember Gore Vidal & T. Capote on Johnny Carson years ago.
Some energy between them, it seemed.

Capote came on after Vidal.
Johnny was asking about "writer's block."
Capote was slowly and boringly rambling on.
Vidal interrupted/chimed in about how Capote sits at his desk all day and only writes one word.
Capote turned slowly to Vidal, in his supercilious voice said, "Yes Gore. But it's the *right* word."

I haven't seen Capote, but I did read Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is a lot more powerful and raw than the movie version they made of it.

From what I gather, that is exactly how he was in real life. My mother went to watch him speak in college. She says he was falling down drunk. It was supposed to be an audience Q & A, but he basically ignored whatever question was asked and talked about whatever he felt like...except if he felt a bad question was asked, then he started making fun of the person who asked the question.

Only interesting for PSH's performance. That guy rules. See his character in Happiness for additional proof.

Anyone see PSH's performance in the movie where he huffed airplane fuel throughout the whole thing.

If you've ever heard the late T. Capote speak, Hoffman does a dead-ringer impression. That being said, two major books in a 40-year career isn't exactly Asimov output. In Cold Blood is no doubt a great book. Capote was so-so, I wouldn't watch it again.
National Lampoon had a great photo way back when of all the things found (allegedly) in Truman Capote's rectum. I seem to remember electric hedge clippers. Now that was entertaining.
