picked up new daily driver today-toyota corolla

Well 2 years ago I leased a Toyota Tacoma crew cab pickup, very nicely built but I decided I wasn't useing the "truck" portion enough to warrant its place in my garage plus with gas prices being what they are something more economical made sense. So on a whim today I went to the dealer and walked away with a 2006 Corolla LE. The car is quiet, peppy with just enough electrical items ( windows, locks, cruise etc. ) plus automatic so the wife likes it. It is amazing how well the 1.8 L pulls and it gets 30mpg city and 38 highway and rides nice and is very quiet. I ended up leasing this one also which for me right now works out best. I was able to "walk away" from the Tacoma lease so it cost me no additional fee's. It is no Porsche but for reliable daily driver it's hard to beat.

Ultimate commuter appliance. Nice to have a reliable car to counter a needey German one. I love the wife's 4Runner, all I've done to it in 45k is change the oil, filters, and the plugs once. Not a problem thus far, not one.

My soon to be bride's '99 Rolla is a treat. She commutes four hours each day, and the car just can't be killed. Gas, oil changes, new wiper blades, and that's about it.

I bought one for my job. '01 Corolla. It's been great. I've even pegged it at the 110 MPH mark - on accident of course.... Mine is decked out in urban camo - AAA sticker on rear bumper, has a few door dings, is the same metallic gold color as the most of the other Corolla's out there.

I get all kinds of rotten looks from her when I drive it. You rev it too high, brake too late, turn too fast etc. etc. Funny though, she laughs about it in the 968....

Funny. I'm crawling on the inside when my wife drives a manual transmissioned car. The entire time I'm thinking: "You lug the motor, brake too early, carry no corner speed..."

The Yaris had plenty of room with the back seats folded forward.. I bet you could carry a few 2 x 4s as well.. A neat little car.

The '90 Corolla has 227K miles and just wont die..

94' Corolla 185K. I changed the master cylinder last year, no other problems. Can't say the same for the 95' Volvo turbo wagon 145K.
