No, he was just ignored by a media that didn't want his message to see the light of day, and called an "uncle Tom" by those in the black community who have a victim culture to keep alive.

Uncle Tom? You're hilariously ignorant. Cosby's msg. has nothing to do with white America. His is a black-on-black issue.

Oh, and ignored by the media. Media like whom? Not 60 Minutes. Not the New York Times. Not the LA Times. Not the New Yorker.

I could go on, but you're getting the picture that you're wrong...again...

Fun, fun, fun... SmileWavy

I hope it is not that hard for you to understand. The media's agenda is not cloaked by the half-hearted covering of a story that does not fit their paradigm. They may cover stories that discredit themselves and their race-baiting associates, but it gets nary the attention or amplification of those that hold the same ideology as themselves (the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharlatons). This is true of the coverage of Bill Cosby. He does not fit their agenda, he gets covered, but not with the agenda driven passion that their comrades in ideology receive.

I have seen Bill Cosby more denegrated than hailed on the media that I have seen (not just Fox). Anywhere where he is discussed there is some black liberal there dismissing him or inferring somehow that he is a sell-out (uncle Tom) that is out of touch with the black community...If I am not mistaken they threw Oreo cookies at him--black on the outside and white on the inside, get it?...Maybe they didn't but it is obvious that is the way they must paint him because their livelihoods depend on the victimization of the black culture.

Oh, and I'm about 99% sure you are Alfred and have been banned twice for being racist.

I don't understand what you're saying (because it doesn't make sense). There are three different sources of information about the blacks' intelligence on that page and they all show the same result. In the CNN article, the black students lived in the same area as the whites, went to the same school and had access to the same teachers and they still finished 300 SAT points behind the white students.

Professor Jensen credited the blacks 4 IQ points above where they test to control for any socioeconomic disparities. And the graphs comparing SAT scores for the races showed that even when they come from families with similar educational and financial backgrounds the blacks still test far worse. The assessment of college literacy also showed that the blacks tested much more poorly than their white counterparts.

I once watched a video of a bunch of blacks marching to confront a group of white supremacists and at the front of the march there were some liberal minded whites marching with them and when they arrived at where the white supremacists were supposed to be nobody was there and the blacks got very upset and started pummeling the whites that had been marching with them. I wish I could find that video again. That also reminds of Siegfried (Roy?) getting bitten by his pet tiger.

I'm not sure about the book you mention, but it is widely known that King slept around quite a bit, and I have heard that he slept with two women in a motel the night before he was killed. Not sure if there was a book on it though. [/B]
From one of you links:

http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/mlking.asp

"4. One of King's closest friends, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, wrote a book in 1989 in which he talked about King's obsession with white prostitutes. King would often use church donations to have drunken sex parties, where he would hire two to three white prostitutes, occasionally beating them brutally. This has also been reported by the FBI agents who monitored King. King was married with four children."

If I recall, Jesse Jackson said the same thing.

tabs 05-24-2006 10:23 PM

U mean Jesse James Jackson....

Mulhollanddose 05-24-2006 10:29 PM

I am talking about the shakedown artist, the poverty pimp, the huckster, the race baiter...You know, the guy who got the pigs blood and applied it to a sweater and said it was MLK Jr's blood...The guy who still rides on the casket of MLK...The leftist, the Democrat whore, the class-warfarist, the womanizing adulterer, that no-good POS that the media loves...The Democrat candidate, the liberal in holy man drag, the guy that spit in the food of white folks, the union advocate, the hate merchant....Jesse Jackson, the black guy that talks like an idiot.

Don Ro 05-24-2006 10:31 PM

Jesse Jackson's statement about black-on-black crime: "I hate to admit it, but I have reached a stage in my life that if I am walking down a dark street late at night and I see that the person behind me is white, I subconsciously feel relieved."

Since most of you reading this are White and each of you have a different point of view, what would make some of you think all Black people are joined at the hip?
Black folks are way more conservative than you think. Watch for a Black middle class voter shift in the future.

Middle class Blacks have been mad about this for a LONG time. Imagine if you were defined by the stupidest segment of your race. How would you feel? One of the reasons middle class Blacks dont speak out about this because we dont want to be "outted". You know, called Uncle Tom, told you are acting White(whatever the hell that means),or even worse, you aint black enough!!!!! To be kicked out of your "Clique" is a prospect most people dont want to deal with. What would you do if you got ostracized by all your White friends, where would you go?

Most Black folks agree with Mr. Cosby but we are not ready to discuss this out in the open yet. This debate has been raging for a long time. This is just one of the first examples to be heard by non-Blacks

Regular Black folks dont get the same press time as Pooky, Ray-Ray and LaQuieta. You have to admit stupid/crazy people are more entertaining than regular people.

For those with a short memory, the Irish, Italian, Chinese, Pols and Jews all went thru this. Look at a newspaper from 1900 and read what was said about the poor or any of the ethnic groups mentioned. You would swear they were talking about todays Blacks. One of our problems is that we cant blend in with the majority race because of our skin tone. So even if you are above adverage or just adverage, you are lumped in with Pooky and Ray-Ray. If I could escape being defined by my stupid cousin, I would. No, that doesnt mean I dont want to be Black, it means I dont want be judged by anything but the content of "MY" character.

It will change because we are only 12 to 14% of the population and Hispanics will become the dominate voice on minority issues. We will have to leave the blame "Whitey"/everything is slaverys fault/Jesse Jacksons Al Sharptons of the world behind. Even to a Black person that line of thinking is getting old.

On the Dr. King subject, most if not all comments about him are true. It still doesnt negate what he helped to accomplish. All of us will be lucky if we are measured by the things we've achieved not by the dumb-a** things we did to get there.

SlowToady 05-25-2006 03:56 AM

The not so glamorous events in King's life do not negate what he did for the Civil Rights Movement, but what he did for said Movement does not negate the not so glamorous events. It's a two-way street.

The fact remains he is a liar, and a cheat, and shouldn't even have the Dr. prefix in front of his name (that isn't really his name anyway).

The fact also remains that he made great advances for black rights.

Neither one negates the other, and it is stupid to assume that they do.

Not around these parts. 2 young black guys walking down the street is something you see just about every 10 seconds of the day.....

If I thought that, I'd live in constant "fear."

Living and working among diversity is a beautiful thing.....one of the things I love about the city.........

bt1211 05-25-2006 07:33 AM

Everyone reading this has lied about something, stolen from and or cheated someone. However small or insignificant. Fact is you still did it. Do you see yourself as a liar, cheat or thief?

Human nature is an odd thing when it comes glory/fame. Pick any famous person and if you do a little research you will find some" bones in their closet". I dont know why we heap praise on one person while others, that are just as qualified are regulated to mediocrity.

Elvis didnt start rock n roll
Marylin Monroe wasnt the only sexpot
Darwin didnt discover evolution(check out who Alfred Russel Wallace was)
The current Pope joined the Hitler youth
I could go on but I am sure you get my point.

That is soo true cool-chick! I live in east LA and work here in El Segundo and I see all kinds of crazieness here all the time. I agree, just keep a cool head and use your best judgement and common sense. Whoa! was that just a bullet that buzzed on by??

nine_one_4 05-25-2006 08:15 AM

A couple of things - diversity is not at all beautiful (read about the physical characteristics of the different races in the encyclopedia if you need more information) and the Pope "joined" the Hitler youth because the law under the Nazis said that every boy in that age group had to join.

bt1211 05-25-2006 09:16 AM

nine-one-4 your right on your Pope statement. At that time being a part of the German Anglo population meant that you particpated in all aspects of Hitlers great vision. And they believed that what they were doing was for the greatness of the Fatherland. Considering the way Germany was ravaged after WW1. We are using the benefit of hindsight to point out where all this nationlist/race pride took them.

The adverage German had no idea where Hitler was headed with all of this. All that being said, the Pope still joined.

People look at these things like.... man has split the atom and since I am one of those men, therefore I can split atoms...needless to say that is far from the truth.
We need that stupid/fearless/dangerous/uncoventional thinking/different than I am, gene to propel All of us foward. That same gene has improved the lives of everyone and destroyed the lives of many.
That enough from me.
Bryan
