Is this an update on the Kharman Ghia project? Did you buy the '25 "for parts"...or are you planning to put a flat four in it and get it on the street?

son your education in aviation leaves alot to be desired! once again its evident from your statements..................that aviation is probably not real conducive, to you living a long full life! this is shown by your web site that a bunch of us have viewed and your fine ability in being a so-called mechanic. our suggestion is to avoid aviation, but if your so inclined, please dont "build an experimental" as you have some of your rides. and if you do pass all your pilot prerequisites and actually get to "solo", please dont fly around our airport. i would hate to be first on scene again, for a dual fatality attributed to "pilot error"! please refrain from ever comparing our actions on 9/11 to the terrorists actions. you crossed the line there! as far as "wild eyed civilians" with "soldier of fortune guns"? well both the airport mgr. and myself have CCW permits(concealed carry weapons permits). i will forward you the latest homeland security memo we received as far as general civilian aviation and airports. if you think for one pico-second that there was a govt. conspiracy re: 9/11 well maybe this memo will allow you to see clear. like i had mentioned before we take security very very seriously now. your statements pissed off a lot of people here, not just myself. you because of your age have never been affected by terrorists actions. i have twice now! once in munich in 1972(standing right there in olympic villiage) and now on 9/11. i would highly suggest that if you pursue a pilots lic. you not be a wise ass as you have on this forum re: 9/11. verbal jokes are NOT taken as jokes. be it commercial airports or private. will forward memo tonight, maybe it will open your eyes to the job some of us have! if i were you the next time you went to an airport..............i'd keep my mouth shut!

Yes.

And it's an exceptional landing if you can use the airplane again.

This was a B25 that crashed into a lake in North Carolina, IIRC. A local guy found it and planned out raising it. History Channels' show 'Mega Movers' did one on this plane.

It's a pretty rare early war B-25B model, I think it was. It has a retractable .50cal machinegun turret that was in tact, one of only 4 or so that still exist. They were scrapped by the USAAF since they weren't very effective, or something like that.

It will be neat... after seeing how bad Glacier Girl was, and that they got it restored and FLEW it... yeah, they can bring this one back to life.

i saw the discovery channel show where they raised it, good stuff
the plane was is original shape (still had all it's guages and such) because it was deep enough that amature divers could't get to it and keep "treasures". and it didn't corrode horribly because oxygen at those depths is minimal
